There is no place for fear, no place for panic, no place for mistakes.Under the ice, you need total control of the place, the time, and to trust yourself completely. When you can do all that, you can find a different world, a world so peaceful, so beautiful, endless and desolate

With one breath, I’m part of it.

I loved this VDO , and specially Johanna Nordblad last quote With one breath, I’m part of it. and how ice therapy saved her leg.

After a downhill biking accident, Johanna Nordblad thought she might lose her leg. Doctors had to leave the fracture open for 10 days to avoid necrosis. In a last ditch effort, to save the limb, they tried a painful cold-water treatment. At first it was brutally painful and frightening. Eventually, it led to her love of the world under the ice, and a new sport. In this exquisite video, we get to experience that world with her.

That experience, eventually, led her to develop a passion for swimming under frozen lakes — just holding her breath. Today, she holds the world-record for freediving 50-meters under ice wearing only a swimsuit.
